Conclusion

We have learned the elements of HTTP. The basic format of request and response between client and server is what makes the web work.

We examined in depth the security issues common to the web and specific to Flash. We need to understand these features well to use them and even better if we are to overcome them.

We made our first data request and download from the web. In this case the HTTP was simple and it involved no XML. But we soon will use XML and we will later work with the fine points of HTTP.

Our first data-connected object has some interesting qualities. It is very neat and self- contained, independently managing everything from its initiation and data download to its display.

We learned an alternative, more sophisticated route to the same results and faced our first choice between smartness and simplicity.
